Lead Professional Good Practice

There are a great deal of children and young people who have a number of additional support needs that require an integrated response. However, conventional support services tend to be much more effective in intervening in cases where there is an identifiable incidence of maltreatment, rather than cases characterised by many low-level instances.

The creation of the role of lead professional is intended to address this imbalance. This document provides a good practice guide for people undertaking a lead professional role.
